I'll give you his interview first, and then explain them to a greater degree. This small church pickets the funerals of fallen American soldiers, causing a great disturbance to family members. Their hateful, angry messages are the height of judgement and criticism, and shows how vastly different people can portray the Bible. Here is Louis Theroux, in two documentaries about this group. Very eye-opening. Louis' follow-up with them, documenting the cracks forming in the foundation of this horrible group. Add Comment Jesse Ventura and the 9/11 conspiracy. 08/31/2011
The View ladies can be just about impossible to force to be open-minded. Nutty ladies who must drive their guests crazy... anyway, Ventura tries to argue his point of view. After being given his own television series (!) and having countless opportunities to talk to various hosts, he claims he is being silenced by the media... I love the guy. He is incredibly entertaining... he is just another person who I take with a grain of salt. However, I do think he MAY have some points about 9/11. Ray Comfort debates a scientist. 08/21/2011
The first time Thunderfoot debated Ray, it was quite annoying and painful to watch. Thunderfoot is such a "thinker" that he gets caught up in the debate, while Ray simply wants to trick and plow over others. But this second debate was certainly a bit better. These two are so different in their approach that the debate is never really that good. It is more just entertaining to watch Ray try to be logical and rational! Louis gets a very personal account of life in a Miami jail. When pot smokers end up in places like this, it makes you wonder what the U.S. gov't is thinking... creating hard, tough criminals in this system. Another look at prison life. A disturbing documentary about racism. 08/09/2011
Louis Theroux is a unique documentary maker from the BBC. His awkward, socially inept way of interacting with controversial people makes him able to almost fly under their radar... he is unassuming and they seem to accept him regardless of whatever questions he asks them. The result is unlike any other documentary out there. Here is a particularly disturbing one. The way these two little girls are being raised - to hate any other ethnicity than their own - is sick and sad. Here is Louis Theroux and the skinheads. Just what has Dick Cheney been up to? 08/05/2011
George W. Bush's Vice President, Dick Cheney, is an evil man in my opinion. Here is a factual documentary about the things he has dine up to the Iraq war that have been less than honest and ethical. http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/dick-cheney/ A man who brought the illegal practices of one of Murdoch's publications to light is now dead under strange circumstances. Science versus Religion: who \"wins?\" 07/05/2011
This is not a debate. It is a television documentary that claims science wins hands down. Which means one of two things: either it is incredibly biased, or science, by its very nature, is proof and religion is blind faith. Scientology - controlling cult. 07/02/2011
This is a great follow-up piece that shows the level of control and the lengths this cult will go to in order to intimidate detractors. This short documentary is a great starting point for this topic. The gospel of Thomas is the basis, and other lost works are mentioned as well (that of Mary Magdalene is my favorite, however short and fragmented it is). Basically, it is argued that Jesus left home at about age thirteen and traveled for eighteen years around Africa, Europe, and Asia, learning from great spiritual leaders in different religions. A focus is on India, and it is said that he survived his crucifixion and lived the rest of his long life there. http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/beyond-belief/ Pay attention to the narrator/film maker, as he has his own viewpoint for finding meaning in the gospel. He sees Jesus as someone who is more aligned with New Age beliefs (or Hunduism) than what Christianity has become. If he is right, they have misunderstood Jesus GREATLY. |
